We’re a team of Architects and Structural Engineers delivering professional architectural and engineering services to homeowners who want to build their own home, or simply make the existing one better! We’ve come together to make life easier for our clients and ourselves, sounds good right?
Create Home Design is the part of our business helping homeowners realise their dream homes, whilst Michael Aubrey Structural Engineers take on structural services covering a whole range of services including structural design and structural defects.
A Design Team For All Your Needs
We branched out of Michael Aubrey Partnership, a structural engineering firm established 30 years ago, when Chartered Architect Carly Barrow of Greenway Barrow Architects came to join us, having successfully ran her own business for five years. We had worked together over a number of years and developed a strong collaboration.
“In joining the team to launch Create Home Design I’ve been able to continue delivering what I do best, with the support and cross discipline expertise of a team that I know well. Creating family forever homes, together.”
Having worked with various local architects and engineers we began to realise that we had a lot of shared values, being friendly, professional and proactive. After Covid hit we developed a closer collaboration, home owner enquiries rocketed we were happy to be able to support each other with additional services.
A Focus On Client Experience
Always looking to improve client experience and project outcomes with a more integrated approach we talked around the benefits of what we were offering together. We couldn’t see that we would stop collaborating so why not make it a permanent thing? We’d already spent several years working together after all!
There are so many positive aspects to our cross-discipline approach. And discussing the opportunity with our clients we were was pleased to find them largely in agreement that the pros outweighed the cons.
